Marian Blankenship took on her position as Sr. Adult Ministry Leader with fervor as she put together the Senior Adult Thanksgiving Celebration held at her home church, Tabernacle. There were 155 signed up and 132 that showed up to enjoy the program and meal. The program included Mr. & Mrs. Mason sharing about their experiences in China. DeeDee Adams did a lovely job on her flute solo, 'Great Is Thy Faithfulness." The CBA Senior Adult choir, led by Dr. David Cooprider sang two wonderful Thanksgiving songs. Then former Tabernacle Pastor and current IBSA Director, Pat Pajak shared from the word of God from Lamentations 3:21-26 on having Hope because God has great mercy towards us, God is always faithful to his word, and for our Salvation through Jesus Christ.
After the program, everyone went back to the Family Life Center for a delicious meal of Turkey in Dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, homemade rolls, green salad, and a substantial array of yummy desserts.
The answers to the Turkey quizzes were read by Pat Pajak, and Lanny Faulkner. Lanny is quite the comedian.
The tables were decorated by several of the ladies from Tabernacle and the room was changed from a basketball court into a banquet hall.
Thank you to everyone who helped and attended this event.
